Plastic Surgery For Acne

Acne often give us a lot of problems. Most teenagers have freckles and acnes with days out in the sun. And as most people do say, they go off with age. However, a few people are less fortunate and have to live with the acne and scar marks, which indeed look ugly. The best option that they have is to get the scar marks removed using plastic surgery. However, since this is a surgical and drastic measure, this should be considered as the final measure. Plastic surgery removes scars left by acnes but often you may find the marks returning in spite of the surgery. But this is nothing to be too worried about because this happens only when the layer affected is too deep down and therefore too deep for surgery.

Method of Plastic Surgery For Acne

Scars resulting from acne problems are removed by cosmetic surgery. This involves treating the skin with collagen which the main protein is found in the animal tissues. However, this is not recommended for those who have allergic reactions.

For acne scar removal, the first round of treatments is dermabrasion and chemical peeling. Irregularities often even go away with these treatments. The general skin health is also improved normally. The healing process takes around a week or two depending on how fast the new collagen fiber forms and smoothens the skin. One thing should be kept in mind before going for the surgery. You should be relieved from the cycle of acnes lest they should leave ugly scar marks yet again!

Micro dermabrasion is another method commonly followed which includes the method of sand blasting. In this method, tiny particles of aluminum are ejected on to the skin. This cleanses all the pores of the skin and provides with an improved condition of the skin. As obvious, a bit of redness for some time after the surgery is observed. This is almost an investment to freshen up your skin! You will observe the glow of your skin in twenty-four hours time. This treatment is generally suited for acne prone skin types that are normally sebaceous. This process can be repeated once a month as a cleansing procedure.

Overview of methods

Acne scars are removed by surgical methods as laser treatment, manual excision or abrasion, topical medications, chemicals and so on. Fillers like cultured humane collagen, porcine human collagen, bovine collagen, fat from your own body, hyaluronic acid, PMMA like synthetic substances, ploylactic acid catalysts and other injectable fillers.

Can You Go For Treatment?

You can go for acne scar removal using plastic surgery only if you are of good health and are not suffering from any medical ailment. You should also have realistic expectations of the post operation period. Besides, you should not be suffering from acne problems during the period of surgery. Tell your skin physician all about the past history of your skin eruptions. If you have had Accutane, complications as kleroid scarring may arise. You might suffer from necrosis and tissue death. So plan your move.
